Jaguar Mark II 3.8
Automatic, chrome wire wheels, California car with an excellent body. Unrestored car with fantastic
potential. This car is extremely solid and dry, even in the areas
which normally rust on Mark II's (such as the spare tire well). Very
nice steering wheel, guages, and wood (including seat back picnic
tables). With this car, you can concentrate on the mechanics and
cosmetics, rather than spending time and money cutting and welding
rust. Not perfect, but most likely the best you will find for the
basis of a quality restoration.
Car is complete, but has an incorrect engine & transmission (Buick
V6). A great opportunity to convert to an uprated 4.2, or even a 4.0
XJR (like Beacham or Vicarage). You could also source a 3.8 if you
prefer to restore the car to original specs. I bought this car from
an estate sale, so no history is available, and the car will be sold
with a bill of sale. The car is located in
Santa Barbara, CA. Ad posted 8/25/08.
