When
Ford Motor Company sought to put the Mustang on the sports car map, it turned
to the man it knew could get the job done: Carroll Shelby. There are about
as many versions of the story as there are "original" cars, but suffice
to say one of the most sought-after collector cars was created in the process:
the G.T. 350 Mustang.
While no automotive enthusiast (save for bow-tie diehards with the window
decal displaying a certain cartoon character performing a bodily function
"aimed" at the Ford logo) wouldn't want to add a G.T. 350
to their stable, original cars present some drawbacks. A great many were
rode hard and put away wet. Really wet. Those that were not may or may not
be original G.T. 350s anyway. Finally, modern technology can produce an
automobile far superior to and perhaps less expensive than one of the few
well-documented and unmolested original cars.
Our
goal with the first in the G.T. 427 series was to create a Mustang that
retained the classic look of the original G.T. 350 but far surpassed its
performance and technology. Anyone who has seen, heard and driven this car
has agreed wholeheartedly. Most, however, have had to resort to hand signals.
This first-in-a-series car was built using a pristine body shell painted by Shelby American.

As
mentioned, this car is the first in a series. It represents one view of
the Ultimate Mustang. Your view, however, may differ. Perhaps Guardsman
Blue with white stripes and Weber carburetors occupied your (automotive)
thoughts during study hall. A convertible, perhaps? Whatever your Mustang
dreams, we are equipped to make them a reality.
